Sunny day in May

It’s a glorious day today . . . blue sky and warm sunshine. OH and I are celebrating, having won our doubles match at the croquet club this morning. This time last week we were playing in gloves and three warm layers!

So I’ve taken the camera for a walk to share our May garden with you.
This Azalea is really a lovely deep pink – gift from my Mum many years ago . .

Half of the lawn was treated with weed-killer several years ago – I prefer the half with daisies!

I love my new Regal Pelargonium “Mona Lisa” which should flower all summer

Deep pink Geranium with double Petunia: “Joanna” smells divine

Exochorda The Bride

I need a rest, so this will be my spot for the next hour!

I hope you’re all enjoying sunshine today . . . happy gardening :)

You'd be most welcome, Julia . . . yes, a get together would be lovely. Can I pour you a glass of wine, or would you prefer Pimm's?!

Congrats on your win Sheila! The warmth is very welcome. Your garden looks great, I like your lawn too. My Cornus were frosted last week, sigh, all the new growth.

Agree your Mona Lisa is beautiful -she should keep you smiling, lol.

Mona Lisa is very lovely! All looking wonderful, relaxed and gorgeous as usual Sheila. Well done on your croquet! I was glad of my garden pod today as we had high winds. I could hardly keep my laundry on the line!

Thanks very much Karen . . . good to know it's warm enough for you to put out your washing!

I could do with a sit on your seat, Sheila, I have been removing bluebells, alliums and pond improvements solidly for ages, need a relax.

Yes, it does seem to be warming up even here, and we don't have high winds this morning....but we don't have sunshine either!

Be my guest, Siris :)

We're having a cheerful sunny spell, Karen; forecast is 19 degrees by this afternoon!
