April flowers (between the April showers)!

Still a chill wind, but the sun came out today, so I took my little camera for a walk, and this is what I found . . .
Pasque flowers

Mini tulip, going over . .

Primroses, wallflowers and Kojo-no-mai

Sorbaria sem

Another Kojo-no-mai with my favourite Aubretia

View down the garden with daffodils

Now it’s back to the warmth of the greenhouse for some more pricking out, and see how many butterflies have decided to join me . . . They know a good spot when they see one, and the robin sometimes pops in too, though he’s currently more interested in finding a mate :)

Yes, looking very pretty as usual Sheila. Am about to put a 'bonsai' pic on for your advice!

Oooh, such faith Karen . . . I'll look out for it, and cross my fingers!

I looks lovely, the birds don't donate anything as interesting as that for me! The Kojo-no-mai is glorious, I looked at one in the Garden Centre last week, but it was horribly expensive, so had to stay there. And... you have more than one! I love the primulas at this time of year, always so cheerful.

Thanks Honeysuckle . . . well, I guess I'm lucky, but I had no idea that kojo-no-mai was expensive! It's very reliable, and blossom is my favourite thing - looking forward to seeing the Amelanchier in bloom, and then the Great White Cherry.

Are you far from the Cambridge Botanic Gardens? I've just heard that they have a 'Cherry Walk' there, so must go and see soon.

My Kojo no mai came from Tesco and wasn't very expensive. I was lucky to be there on the right day! How lovely to have more than one of them - your garden looks very pretty and spring like. I envy you your nice warm greenhouse!

Thank you Siris.

Thanks Eileen, yes, it's amazing, there seems to be more in flower each day.

Thank you Sue - there's a lot of luck in finding plants at a good price . . . they do vary enormously. I love my greenhouse - it's my sanctuary!

It looks lovely Sheila, I do like the daffs in the grass but of course would be a no go here because of the dogs, if I planted anything in the lawns they would think its for them, lol, suns out today but its definitely a day for working in the g'house, my haven also and I love it....

Thanks Sue - enjoy the sunshine :)

A lovely garden. We all of us are happiest when pottering our gardens. Lucky you to have a greenhouse to go in when the wind gets a bit chilly.

Just like your garden Sheila - thank you :)

Exactly Feverfew - I know, I am very lucky having the greenhouse for pottering, whatever the weather.

Just catching up, as usual, and am now wondering if you watched Gardeners World just a while ago. The blossom on the cherry trees, all 250 of them, at Alnwick Gardens was incredible!

Yes Shirley - saw that wonderful blossom last night. At least I have ONE Great White (Tai haku)!

That's one more than I have! :o)
