Sorry to hear you’ve been having ‘gloom and dreich’ up north . . . last I heard you were heading for the GC in search of cheer. So I just thought I would put up a few pictures to give you a smile today . . .
My garden in March

Ipheon with Carex

Libertia ‘taupo blaze’ and Cordyline

Two favourite views from Chelsea quite a few years ago. I love Annabelle Lennox-Boyd’s design,

and these cloud-pruned trees. Maybe I will have one some day!

You’re probably feeling perfectly happy by now Karen, anyway hope you’re having a good weekend!

How kind!!!!! I am so thrilled with this Sheila! I got fed up waiting today and went off to get spring bedding to cheer up the pallet shelving for spring. I came back with extra goodies as you can well imagine! Anyway, I just can't believe how far on your garden is in the first pic! You have leaves coming out of their buds!!! We are nowhere near that stage yet. Not one bud is breaking in my garden that I can see. But I do have blossom, and having seen your photos, I now know it won't be long. Two weeks hopefully before mine looks like yours just now. How about that pond design eh? Can you imagine trying to keep those water lilies in place like that! lol! Fantastic! THANK YOU SO MUCH, you are so kind :)))))))) xx

Glad you came home with some goodies from the GC Karen - buying plants is such good therapy! I'm blushing and honoured by your generous comments - but so pleased to have made you smile :)))

Well dont know why your buds not breaking I am in a different climate lots happening and lots of nice sunshine.

In a word just perfect.

I had a proper look Kath, and I have slight bud break on a Philadelphus. The roses are definitely breaking. Apart from that....nothing.

Lovely photos, Sheila - your garden looks lovely.

Hooe your garden is moving on a bit now, Karen. Spring has officially started now! It has seemed late to me as well this year. We often get a few nice days in February here, but not this year, only two sunny days I can remember. Let's hope there's a change on the way.

Yes, please....let's have Spring now!

Thank you Susanne. Yes, the weather is so changeable isn't it . . . yesterday afternoon was glorious and I even sat out on a bench with a cuppa in the sunshine. But the morning (when the eclipse was happening) there was heavy cloud cover and widespread gloom! My OH did bring some cherry blossom into the house though: a good sign :)

Just had another look at your lovely blog! Your grass is looking tip top. Mines dreadful because of the dogs but it's a bit better than last year when it was mostly moss and weeds! So I am making slow progress! I must get some of those iPhone for my white garden they are like stars. They look great in that Carex!
