Quiz answers!

Many thanks to all those of you who probably gave yourselves headaches, thinking up answers to the cryptic clues . . . all in a good cause. The Rotary club have now sent us the correct answers, so (although you probably won’t remember the questions, lol,) here they are.

Hope you’ll have sympathy for my cold fingers – if you want to see the original questions, they’re in my previous blog “Quiz time!”

Roll on Spring, and thank you for playing.

1. bikini, 2. cloak, 3. pinafore, 4. trousers, 5. mittens, 6. balaclava, 7. knickers, 8. fleece, 9. wellingtons, 10. clogs, 11. overcoat, 12. sari, 13. fedora, 14. bowler, 15. tuxedo, 16. slip, 17. kilt (old joke apparently), 18. blazer (Lords cricketing colours), 19. blouse, 20. mitre, 21. dress, 22. plimsoll, 23. Greaves, 24. toque, 25. onesy, 26. jumper.

No idea when I’ll see little Frankie again, but hopefully we’ll Skype soon . . . I do know that she’s been on a beach recently in lovely Melbourne weather. Keep warm everyone :))

Thank you, Sheila, for the answers and the questions in the first place. I am now kicking myself over a few of them! Great fun, though ?

Really looking forward to Spring now - there are lots of signs that it's not too far away!

Well, that's brought back memories of the quiz, which OH and I thoroughly enjoyed. Kilt was a bit of a cheeky answer ... and I still think Onesies are ridiculous garments ... lol!

Lol Bornagain . . thanks!

Quite, Shirley, and I still think that Onesie should be spelt like that and not Onesy which was their version - tsk! It was a real shame to learn that many people were able to find the answers online (like you can with some crosswords these days), but I guess there's nothing they can do about that. I just hope those cheats feel a bit sheepish . . .

I must have missed the quiz questions too,Sheila..a shame,as I like them..I agree,it's just not the same to look up the answers online,it seems more like cheating, and you don't get the same satisfaction,I'm sure.,as pondering over a few days, and suddenly getting a Eureka moment ..or not ! all part of the fun really..
That is such a lovely photo of you and little Frankie..one to treasure for sure :o)

Thank you Klahanie (and we wouldn't have got 'toque' without you!

Thanks for your lovely comment Sandra, and good to know you're a quiz fan too.

Thanks Pam . . . I'm sure there'll be another one along at some time :)

Lovely photo's Sheila, Frankie is a bonny one isn't she, I know we sometimes feel a bit as though someone is always looking over our shoulders with all the modern technology but Skype is one that is a godsend to many when it comes to keeping in touch these days with the people far away....

Thanks Lincs!

We definitely exercised our brain power Sheila ... no on-line cheating at this end! :o)

Of course not Shirley - that wouldn't have entered my mind (although there's plenty of room in there)!
