Spring flowers for Janey :))

Sorry I haven’t been around much recently . . . had a few days in Florence with a friend, but not many of my photos are worth showing! Have been gardening in wonderful sunshine since coming back, so here’s a taste of our Spring flowers.
Anemone Blanda

Prunus Ko jo mai, Anemones and Heather

Primroses have spread themselves amongst white Arabis and tiny violas (violets?).

My fave Ipheons, surprising me every year as they are safely in a pot with this Carex.

OK – maybe just one of the Ponte Vecchio! Ciao for now and happy gardening everyone :)

Lovely collection,Sheila.....saw the Kojo in the midst....what weather did you have in Florence? (one of my favourite places in Italy)

Welcome back Sheila...so nice to see your garden again. Florence is somewhere we have wanted to go for years, and every time we investigate we are put off by the journey (no flights from Scotland).

Many thanks Bloomer, Seaburn, Julia and Karen. We were very lucky in Florence . . . mild and quite sunny every day. But I am a useless photographer, and you can't get far enough away from the Duomo to get a good pic! I have one of the mosaics in the crypt of the cathedral, and a few of the amazing carvings, so really they're fine as a memory for me, but (sorry) definitely not worth sharing :(

Actually Karen, the journey was the only snag: we flew Ryanair to Pisa, then had great difficulty finding the right train - our Italian not 'molto bene'!
