This time of year everything is so lush, and the beds are filling up; so took a few photos (as usual, not very good!)
Viburnum ‘Mariesii’ – one of my all-time favourites

Whitebeam against a blue sky

Eleagnus ‘quicksilver’ with snow-in-summer

“shade bed” lol.

Azaleas, Pieris and Acer in raised bed

Coral-bark Acer

Hope you all had an equally sunny evening!

You have such a gorgeous garden Sheila, the raised box bed is spectacular and I so love the Viburnum mariesii.
We have had a lovely sunny day here and I have spent most of the afternoon washing the leaves on my Trachelospermum jasminoides its covered in sooty black from cushion scale (its only about 10ft x 5ft) and its going to take a couple of days to wash all the leaves before spraying, but I would hate to lose it.

The garden looks beautiful Sheila. The weather has been great here, too. I planted up some baskets. Everything has been so late this year, I can't believe it's already June. Fingers crossed for a good spell!

As I would expect Sheila - your garden is looking lovely. I spent all day out in the garden - working, sitting, eating and chillaxing!!
It's a wee bit nippy outside now though!

That was lovely. Another fan of the coral bark acer here. Isn't it wonderful to have some sunshine and to have lost that biting wind? I need to go out and water the garden really but I've got stuck on GOY.

6 Jun, 2013

Thanks Tuesday! I've just done the watering, so can now indulge in some GoY therapy :))

Sheila - I love the Viburnum and the Eleagnus ... do you have a local outdoor pool ... or is there something you're not telling us ... lol!

6 Jun, 2013

Hi Shirley - thank you. Yes, we have a wonderful outdoor pool locally, and in fact I was there again this morning . . . have to make the most of it as they only open for about 3 months, and I do love it!
