Happiness is . . . a sunny garden!

When I saw the lovely bronze leaves on the Amelanchier, I wanted to show Karensusan what the tree is like after the blossom (you’ll succumb one day, Karen :)))

I don’t mind the weeding after the rain, I’m just so happy to be out in the garden again!

Bluebells and Forget-me-nots under Eleagnus ‘Quicksilver’ which will have wonderful scented flowers soon.

Aren’t we gardeners lucky people?!

Yes, Sheila, we are. Stepping out to work in the garden in old clothes and boots on a sunny day, (and we got sun yesterday!) then all is well with my world.

Ah Sheila...I think I will succumb one day! Your garden looks so lovely as usual. I must go and have a look to see if my new bluebells have any flowers on, but I don't think they will flower this year....something to look forward to next year I hope. I agree with Oji....the world is totally different in sunshine! The rain is with us today, but I think it is beginning to move away now.

Beautiful garden Sheila, that centre bed is amazing.

Thanks Willinilli . . . we took out three big shrubs from that bed last autumn, and everything else seems to be enjoying the extra space!

Enjoyed your time in the sunshine Sheila, your garden looks lovely and neat. We've had the sun here today so I've made the most of it including digging out a massive red hot poker, bought dried up from a bargain shop and I didn't realise how big it would get..and such untidy leaves! Went to war on buttercups and dandelions which seemed very mature although I weeded about a week or so ago when weather allowed. where I walk the dogs, there's a lovely mature amelanchier, stunning in flower:-)
