Autumn Garden

It was such a nice day today i decided blow the housework (well i say that a lot really Ha Ha!) i have been wanting to get the bottom lawn (i use that term loosely) cut for a while so off i went i got that cut it was a bit damp but i set the blade higher than usual and it certainly looked all the better for it,mind you as fast as i mowed the leaves up they blew down again!!

I was surprised at how many of my flowering plants were still flowering so decided to take some pictures just to show how many and this is the19th of October!!

The last of the Dahlias, the Aster is still full of flowers and the little Cyclamen is lovely,

Chocolate Cosmos, Cosmos i have been surprised at how these have lasted and i guess until we get a frost they will still be flowering, and white Yarrow (i think its Yarrow but not sure!)

the Sedum is all but finished but still adds a bit of colour to the border, and the Verbena Boniarris (or however you spell it !!) lasts forever, and one of the Chrysanthemums that were planted earlier,

Rudbeckia, and the little yellow daisy i don’t know where that came from! but its a welcome sunny addition to the border, and the Penstenoms i grew from seed are even flowering, should be even better next year.

The Gazanias are still trying their best to flower don’t think they’ll last much longer, a Chrysanthemum single one, and the Geranium is covered in flowers!
I also noticed some little seedlings of ‘Poached Egg flower’ ready for next spring, and lots of forget me nots!
To say its the end of October i am amazed at the number of flowers still around!!

You've certainly still got a lot of colour, SK, hope it continues to last for as long as possible :)

I think the little yellow daisy looks like corn marigold. It's a wild flower. My friend had them in her new garden after she moved there but they've disappeared now so she's bought a pack of the seeds for next year.
All your other flowers are great. I have a single flowered pink chrysanth like yours but every time I try to take a photo it comes out wishy-washy grey .. lol
