Hurrah been gardening!

Well got out in the garden today and got the new plant planted i got the grass cut near the house, and edged the borders turned the nice wet soil over everything looks better for it and it was so nice to get out and do it too.
the wind and rain has battered my tomatoes hopefully they’ll pick up if the wind stays away.
I am waiting for dark to see if my new solar lights work! Have switched them to auto after hopefully charging the battery up for the last 24 hours, yet to see if there was enough sunshine for them to work.
The basket plants arrived on Friday that were ordered on the 16th June they were an offer from Daily Mail i guess they were innundated as thats a long time to wait, and not much time for them to get going they’re a bit on the small side will have ot wait and see if they get going enough to catch up.
the Clematis i moved round to the front of the house called ‘Mrs.Chomondely’ (think thats spelt wrong!) is romping away and even has a couple of buds on, was a bit worried as the house is North facing but the info on it said ‘any aspect’ and it certainly seems to be happy at the moment. Will have to take some photos of it.
I hope the worst of the wind and rain has gone for now, don’t mind showers the garden after all needs rain but it’s the high winds and torrential rain i don’t like, it ruins the plants!
Happy gardening folks!

Glad you had a good day in the garden. I do like your 'bad hair day' daisy, very pretty.

Hi sewingkilla - I noticed a little bug on your flower, I have things like this on some of my flowers but don't know what they are - are they harmful?

they are pollen beetles and eat pollen. they dont do any ham but get up your nose if you sniff the flower too vigourously. lol

Yes the little black beetle things are all over the place but they don't do any harm, they seem to love the Shasta daisy which has a name but have lost the label!!
