Lazy Day today

I have had a lazy day today after yesterdays digging, the long border (i call it that to differentiate between the other borders) needed to be extended up to the shed as it was still covered in grass (and not very nice grass) and weeds, so i started by digging out the grass, my husband had cut it with the spade for me a week ago so the grass was dead and easy enough to remove, i then dug it over and incorporated some compost, at the back of the messy grass bit was an old log from the old Lilac tree that had to be removed a couple of years ago, too nice to chuck so i moved it to the rear of border makes a nice backdrop and i’m on the lookout for something to put on top of it, a frog maybe or a fairy!!!
On a trip to the garden centre….ahem….I came accross these two plants

One is the Helenium and the other is a Delphinium ‘Guinevere’ these were duly planted in the border and i added some of the teasels and some of the Perennial Poppies that were a gift, i may add some of the Penstenoms that i have grown from seed not sure yet don’t want to overcrowd it!!!
I was worn out when i finished i seemed to be at it all day, but am pleased with how it looks now its a vast improvement on what it was.

Sk that looks lovely. It'll be even nicer when the plants have filled out, and are in flower.

Looking forward to seeing them in flower SK. I don't think it's possible to go to a garden centre and come away empty handed. I know I can't!
