Been to garden centre ssshhhhh!

Decided to go down to local garden centre as i wanted a new plastic hanging pot for a Fuschia my friend had given me, her daughter is getting married in July and she has planted white flowers in her hanging baskets this year for that reason, she has a basket of white trailing pansies and bought some ‘Wedding Day’ Fuschias, gave one to me its a trailing plant so i needed a new hanging pot for it. Thats all i was going for (honest!) but i didn’t do too badly only spent a tenner! (thats good for me)

I saw this Gaura as i was walking past the Perennials and liked its variegated leaves its called ‘Passionate Rainbow’ ! (where do they get some of these names from!!) then as i came out of the bedding plant polytunnel where the hanging baskets were i caught sight of this Geranium it is such a pretty pink flower that i couldn’t resist!!

I could have spent a fortune their plants all look so healthy and they have a good choice, but i had to padlock my purse and leave quickly LOL.

A tenner not bad. I went to our local one today for some netting and come back with another Buxus.
Love the Geranium.

You are to be commended for your restraint. I must confess I went to get some more bird seed and spent £2*.** uumm well the Agapanthus had four big buds and the verbena was deep burgundy and a blue fuchsia and …… when I got home I was asked in a stern tone “and where are you planning to put them”

Healthy looking plants great colours.Great choice!

Lovely plants, SK, and you're doing them a service giving them a good home! I've got to go to an eye clinic in a couple of weeks and, guess what, its right next door to a garden centre :)

Well isn't that handy LOL!!!!

Think we all suffer with the same affliction Sk...go in with firm intention to get just one particular plant and end up coming away with....anything which happens to catch the eye !

Well you cant take it with you.....no pockets in a shroud.lol

Cor, I like that Gaura. I want one. :o)

Well done you on only spending a tenner, SK. You obviously walked past the 'jumping' plants aisle, lol.

I've got one of the plants that looks like a loaf of bread in my garden too, ha, ha.

Hey SK look on the bright side...the post lady won't be laughing at you...as long as we don't tell of course. BB is correct we all have the same affliction.

Lovely plants. I don't blame you for buying them.

I don't blame you for giving in to temptation - lovely plants.I accompanied my friend and my daughter on 2 separate trips to the garden centre this week to help them choose, having already bought all my own plants (ha ha) Bought lots more of course, now trying to find places for them! One plant is the same as another to my hubby so he doesn't notice unless he sees me getting them out of the car (which I make sure he doesn't!)
