Brrr winter is back!!

Well isn’t it flipping cold!!! I can’t believe how much the temperature has dropped yesterday and today, mind you i did get the grass cut today its very dry and flew all over when i tipped into the bin (compost bin is full) I haven’t been doing much as have had a rough week Menieres wise (sympathy please everyone say Aw)
Anyway yesterday believe it or not (ahem) some plants arrived LOL! I had ordered some ‘lucky dip’ plants from Thompson and Morgan, you don’t know what you’ll get (hence the lucky dip) was a tiny bit disappointed as both boxes were Gazanias, was hoping for 2 different sorts, never mind i now have 40 (help!) small plants, stuck some in a pot and the rest are dotted round the borders!! Now this morning the doorbell rang again (it’ll need new batteries soon!) and the postwoman was laughing again, she’s a very happy lady LOL, more plants Oh crumbs Pat stop ordering the things!!! this time they are 10 Patio Chrysanthemums, Action Bronze, Action Yellow, Chorus(pink), Conjuror (bright Lavender) and Wizzard( Lemon centre fading to white). Anyway whilst recovering from plant shock my friend and neighbour came round also laughing at me (we are a very happy lot round here!) i offered her half of them which she readily accepted so thats ok then!
The long border is looking very nice at the moment, the pink lupins are lovely and no greenfly (Yet!) but greenfly on every thing else, even on the tips of the Clematis, never had that before. I literally have green fingers now from running them up the stems to squash the little blighters.

It does look great. Have to say my postman is a very keen gardener and so is always interested in what he delivers. How lucky am I!

Oh dear what a lot of planting. I too am planting but in tubs and baskets; in fact anything that holds compost LOL. I have to garden UP as no garden much but I do love summer bedding so have spent the last two days 'making a mess'. Hubbies words. I have filled all the little green planters and they are along the fence. Now of course we need lots more sun to sit with our cuppa and admire our (no not work!) all our 'fun time'. Love from down the hill.LOL
