looking forward to spring

When winter winds bite and we start the long nights,
I sit with my books and dream of summer days,
When the postman arrives catalogues of all different size
What joy to sift through,
Now shall i have Pink Roses or Lavender Blue
or Dahlias of every kown hue,
I sit and i ponder while out in the cold yonder
The frost bites at all of the trees
Before i know it the days have passed in a daze
Then parcels arrive of all different size
Oh look its Lavender Blue!
Bulbs and corms, seeds in packets all different kinds
My smile just continues to grow
Can’t wait for the spring to see what it brings
I DO love my garden sow!

I enjoy looking at garden books and catalogues in the winter too, - especially if I'm sitting by a warm fire with a nice hot drink :o)

Ialso enjoy looking in my garden books & catalogues, have to stop myself ordering so much, as i think if not careful you can get carried away with them.

i know Clarice no wonder i have an aching back! ordered too many bulbs this year thought i'd never get them planted carried away again!!
