Feeling old!

Well my daughter has left school for the last time, done all her exams just got to wait for the results (worried smile), fingers and toes crossed been a stressful few weeks!
They have just had their school ‘prom’, dont really agree with this ere prom business but i go with the flow!! Cost an arm and a leg but she had a whale of a time with all her friends so i can’t complain (can I?)

A bevy of beauties!! Oh to be 16 again (no maybe not too much angst!!)

I'm glad we didn't have proms in my days. I would have run a mile lol. Hate anything like that. So I'm glad I'm old :D

They all look as if they're going to have a whale of a time though. And I'm sure they did :o))
All the best for the results. I'm sure your daughter will have done very well :o))

I agree with you there, Hywel, I am not a 'party' person at all! My granddaughter has just left school, SK, and her 'prom' is tomorrow evening. Her school has laid on a coach to take all the youngsters to the venue to prevent the 'my transport is better/more original than yours' syndrome which seemed to be breaking out and to save the parents more expense in these difficult times. But I must admit your daughter and friends all look so confident and gorgeous in the line up. Good luck to them all as they go forward to the next stage of their life :)
PS: No, I wouldn't want to be 16 again either!

back in 77 we had a leaving dance. and in the film to sir with love '65ish' they did too.
so some schools did do things but i agree not to the extent of today.
is she planning to stay on sk? coz if yes then there is the yr 13 one to look forward too. My eldest is already planning hers :o( actually she will be making it as part of her textiles course so it will be cheaper ;o))).
Youngest will have her prom next world cup.

She is going to the local college to do an Animal Care course with a view to joining police force to work with either horses or dogs, although that could change!! They don't do proms! The 6th form college does i have had quite enough expense for the time being!!
