I haven’t been on for a while as we had some bad news, my husbands best friend of 50 years passed away great shock, he was walking in Cheddar Gorge and fell, so sad so have not felt like doing much.
But we are picking up slowly and the garden has been a great help in taking my mind of the sadness.
Everything is coming into flower the Clematis are lovely this year i think the harsh winter has helped everything including the weeds!!!

The rest of the garden is coming along beautifully, lots of flowers to come :o)

The poppies are lovely and the Teasel is huge!!! Looking forward to the others opening. Just noticed some photos have gone on twice…blame my brain!! sorry lol

Oh goodness Sewingkilla ... how awful for you both & your friend's family.
Understandably you haven't felt like doing anything but your clematis are looking beautiful ... a credit to you. Maybe you could dedicate one to your friend? That blue one is particularly special. xx

I'm sorry to hear you and husband had a shock. It takes a long time to come to terms with a thing like that. I'm sure the garden will help.

thanks again people, we are planning on planting a tree in memory of him, he was a great lover of nature and a healer and friend to so many, he loved trees he and my husband climbed many a one years ago. I found that the woodland trust will dedicate a tree in memory of a loved one so think we will do that, as well as planting something in the garden for him.

So beautiful. Sorry to hear about your loss - I think that a tree is a great idea and lovely to have one outside the garden just in case you move.
