First snow flurry

I have one of my nieces staying for the weekend – she has been up in the neighbouring village playing with the school friends – as I was driving up the road to pick her up – it began to snow – luckily it only lasted a minute or two!!
As much as I love the snow – I just feel it’s too ‘early’ – if you know what I mean.
I didn’t have my phone with me to take a picture – looking out at the early evening sky – it is very white and looking full of snow!!!!

They have predicted a very cold week end, but I hope there will be no heavy snow anywhere.
None is actually predicted for Wales, and it's been a beautiful day here, although cold.

I'm glad you didn't take a photo of the snow and show it on here. I can't stand the stuff lol :D

I'm trying not to worry too much Scottish. I have noticed over the years it isn't unusual for us to get a flurry of snow at some point during October. It rarely leads to anything....now just wait and see what happens now I've said that! lol :))

Fingers crossed for you Scottish, that it doesn't start to snow "properly". (I'm in the process of trying to compose a haiku about Scott in the Antarctic for a creative writing course: visited the Polar museum in Cambridge last Saturday: now that's REAL FREEZING COLD for you!)

On our news tonight they showed you all having heavy frosts 'up north', poor things, keep warm and put another log on the fire.

It's a warm sunny day over here, though rain & over caste was forecaste for today. Meant to be worse tomorrow ....heavy rains .....we've had quite enough of that thank you! Snow ......what's that? Lol. I was actually 17 years old before I saw snow. My mum, who was Engish, took me to England in 1969 & we were living in London when I saw my first ever snow. I thought it was so beautiful .....but sadly it quickly turned to dirty slush under the feet of people hurrying to the Underground or to catch a bus. Hope you all enjoy some milder autumn weather before the winter strikes.

There have been light snow falls on the high peaks around here for a couple of weeks now .... with more promised this chilly weekend! I'll be round my log fire!

Like Pam, we had a snow flurry overnight - just a tiny bit left on the greenhouse roof - but glorious blue sky and sunshine now . . . much better than that damp mist!
