My little hedge!

A big problem in the garden is where the gravel meets the lawn. The stones always end up getting caught in the lawn mower. Quite frankly, I was getting extremely fed up of having to get down on my hands and knees before I mow the lawn to remove any stones which had been kicked over!
I had tried to separate the area with a little raised edge neither wood nor stones seemed to do the job. They still managed to find their way over onto the lawn.
At the tail end of the summer, I thought I would put in a little box hedge – on going shopping in the GC I found some Euonymus fortunei ‘Emerald Gaiety’ and thought this would make a rather nice little hedge. As like Buxus – it can be clipped to shape.
I planted these out and they are doing rather well – new growth is now showing. Whilst I can appreciate what it will look like in a few years – it does look rather boring!
I decided to give it a little lift by planting some grasses just slightly offset and in the gaps to make it look a little better for a while.
There will come a time that the grasses will need to be moved – but for now I hope that this will add a little interest!
I hope you like :)

That looks really good. It certainly does separate the stones and lawn. I like your choice of plants too.
