Budding Gardener

I have never written a blog before and have spent many hours reading everyone’s blogs, which on the whole are entertaining, interesting, knowledgeable and certainly worth reading. I have been racking my little brain as to what I can share with you all….
In between the rain showers today, I managed to get our and do some deadheading – followed by my relentless daily ritual of walking round the garden looking for signs! Signs of success that is! – for I am sure that you will all agree, when we plant new plants we can’t wait until they start to settle and produce their blooms.
Almost daily, there are pictures of blooms posted by fellow GOYers that have yet to show face in my garden, and I remembered Drc726 asked a question the other week re the difference in growing plants here in Scotland. I thought I would post a little picture quiz involving some of my soon to bloom buds!

Section 1….Easy Peasy!!!!

Section 2….Early or Late you decide!

Section 3….Green, Green and more Green

Section 4….Bonus Round!!

Best of luck everyone and thanks for joining in :)

They are all very wet, should all be bog plants. Don't worry about what to write, usually my fingers hit the keyboard and a large of garbage seems to appear on the screen.

2 Aug, 2011

Which is very amusing Grannyb!

2 Aug, 2011

2 Aug, 2011

Never assume I am right - I always assume I'm wrong!!

2 Aug, 2011

2 Aug, 2011

Grannyb, they are all wet because it had not stopped raining all day. I had done all my chores and was bored stiff watching TV so I had to amuse myself somehow :)

2 Aug, 2011

Sticki, I won't tell....promise ;-) I hope they don't read this then!

Thanks for your comments Cristina and Marshmallow :)
Yes Cristina, the peony is flowering - the bud is just about opened so hopefully all the rain today hasn't spoiled it too much before I get a chance to take a picture of it open. I was given a wee bit of peony tuber by a friend - put it in the ground thinking I would not see anything til next spring....low and behold 3 weeks later leaves and 2 buds appears :)
Marshmallow, well done for getting some right...show off!!!!
