Thanks for the welcome!
Thanks for the welcome everybody! And for the answers to my red hot poker question. I will try and do some cutting back today if the weather holds out and if my 8 month old baby sleeps for long enough at lunch time!
It’s just coming into spring here in New Zealand, I’m originally from England but have been in NZ for the past 5 years now so I’m getting more used to the seasons being at different times of the year, although I’m not sure I’ll ever really get used to a hot christmas day!
About my garden; as you can see from the photos of the front garden, it is pretty well established and has been cared for very well by the previous owners – an elderly couple who had lived here for 47 years!
The back garden has a couple of apple trees, some camelia trees/bushes, some Daphne (I think), lavendar, a great fern tree, some rose bushes, hebes and lots more plants and shrubs that I don’t know the names of yet! I may well put some photos up here for help with identification as I don’t really know much about gardening, but am hoping to learn so I can keep the garden looking nice.
Thanks again for the welcome.
