The kiss of the sun for pardon
The song of the birds for mirth
one is nearer to god’s heart is in the garden
than anywhere else on earth

This brings back happy memories of my childhood.
My uncle had a large garden, and there was an old stone plaque in the garden set into a beautiful old brick wall with this inscription carved in the stone.
I've memorised this since I was very young.

I have a beautiful stone plaque in my garden with this little poem on it. It always makes me feel at one with nature.
