They are beautiful, lying so quietly, almost all in exactly the same position. You are having your hands full at the moment I think!

This is just sooooooooooo lovely. Gorgeous gorgeous. What kind of dog is Ruby, she looks a bit like my Cully, a red heeler. What a good mother she is, lying there happily and letting her babies do what babies do most: drink. This must be the picture of the day. They're beautiful!

Beautiful, protea's are in South Africa and here too, perhaps more places. They always are long lasting flowers.

Been to Powys Castle quite a few times - you are right - it is lovely. I esp like the view back towards the castle from the rhodie/wooded walk. i must say, I've never seen any deer there....and I don't recall a lake either.....there must be bits I've not seen - well that's a good excuse for another visit then!

Just found this picture, Sandra. Is this the lovely fungi growing on a fallen tree just as you walk down from the car park towards the castle/gardens? If so, this is the same fungi as in my signature picture :-) small world....!!

I love the colour of the foliage too... it adds a lighter note in a mixed border.. I like the fact, too, that it will self seed... I usually save the seeds and toss them into a spot that may be slow developing...they jump out of the ground and bloom their lovely heads off! As close as you get to instant flowers..lol.
