Took the day off today and drove to St Davids and then along the coast home…

We have not been to the north of the county for years. The cathedral was amazing and we were lucky enough to be there when someone started playing the amazing organ.

We live on the south side of the county and vary rarely take the time to explore the surrounding coast line.

At St Justinans we went to see the lifeboat station and were delighted to see a large seal basking in the sunshine in the lifeboat dingy…sorry no pics of him..

He was in the boat above..but the lifeboat man turfed him out as he usually leaves a smelly mess in there!!

then we went to the Druidstone hotel for coffee….It has to be my new FAVOURITE place ever…

The coffee was lovely but the views were amazing…

I even loved the door handle…

On Whitesands bay we were delighted to find some pebble sculpture on the beach

All in all it was a very peaceful reflective day and we came home to the most amazing sky

Hope your day was good too..

What an interesting blog....I love the door handle.
That lifeboat station looks just like the one at Tenby(as I recall)

very similar to the old Tenby one Paul...they are building the new St Davids one in the next field. I wonder if someone will convert that one like they did the old Tenby one. It would be even better as it is in a tiny secluded bay, I wouldn't like to live in the old Tenby one..it would be like living in a goldfish bowl.

No, I certainly wouldn't fancy living in any of them to be honest!

so very pretty love those pictures and the view is amazing brought back memories of when we went to Ireland from that coast on the ferry just up from their I believe, trying to recall the name of the place think it was Fishguard. The view from the campsite we stayed on overnight was amazing. Love Wales and the scenery.

What a lovely blog and reminded me how gorgeous pembrokeshire is. Your pics of the Druidstone gave me a jolt. We used to go tgere about 30 years ago when we camped not far away with the kids. It was then a slightly run down, rambling, gorgeous old building with, as you say amazing views and good beers. Pleased to see it is still trading although on a different level now!

Olive the ferry does go from fishgaurd...there is also the pembroke dock one.

Resi its still a slightly run down, rambling, gorgeous old building with, as you say amazing views and good beers lol. I just loved the place...and still owned by the same family.
