Hi Guys,
Just thought i would do a quick blog to show you all im still around,
i have been checking out a few blogs or pics when i can but not up to date as iv had alot going on here also just got my laptop sorted out so i dont have to wire it up just to get on the internet.
Weather been up and down here but yesterday and today its been sunny which makes me feel alot better.
Just have lots going on in my personal life at the moment so being online isnt my first priority.
So yesterday myself and Baz took off not far up the road to Trough of Bowland for an afternoon of peace and open space.
It was a lovely afternoon and quiet there with not alot of traffic or walkers.
I managed to take a few photos to hep me with my next painting which iv still managed to do each tuesday but not inbetween.
It took me back to being a child and mum and dad taking us there for picnics in summer and paddling in the streams, normally one of us would end up falling in and being soaked to the skin lol
So it was a trip down memory lane to, also drove through chipping, clitherole and scorton, so a nice run.
Anyway hope your all well and managing to do the garden without floods or wind stopping play, i had noticed some had bad weather which is awfull when we spend time getting it nice for summer.
So a few pics, nothing fantastic but not even had my camera out much , im useless lol

Well if this weather continues to get better i might get a bit more done in the garden, mind you iv had endless weeds with this weather and forever sticking canes for plant surport, good old british weather, if it doesnt buck up for first week in july im booking a last min to spain, if its good then a week here in uk,
happy gardening everyone

Hi San! Must thank you again for getting that Spiraea...I'm so pleased with mine, which is also about to flower! I feel exactly the same as you about the weather......so low.

Have only been to the 'trough' once, when I was a student, in Manchester. I had a good friend from Clitheroe and he took me there once ...ah, happy days....lost touch with him now sad to say .....beautiful place though and very, very eerie!

Good to 'see' you again, Sandra. Getting out into the countryside is just the thing to lift your spirits and you took me right back down Memory Lane with you to when my sister and I were taken to Dunsop Bridge for the first time by our frinds' parents. There were 6 little Warrens and they had an old Bedford van into which we all piled - no seatbelts in those days!! - and set off for the Trough. We had a picnic, we paddled, we ate ice-cream and THE SUN SHONE ALL DAY because it did in those days! I thought I'd died and gone to Heaven. We live in Preston now, so still close to that beautiful area. Whenever we have friends/relatives from the South, we take them out into the stunning Ribble Valley to prove that it's not all 'Satanic mills' oop North! Glad you managed to do some painting. Sometimes Life interferes with Art.

I've got that one Ba, amazed me that looking so delicate it has survived so well, needs a haircut now....

Hi sanbaz it is great to hear from you, the garden looks great and love the pictures of your stroll. keep smiling and maybe sooner or later we will have some nicer weather so we can enjoy our gardens :)

22 Jun, 2012

Our garden has had quite a battering too - if not from the rain, then the wind took over! In fact it all looks a bit of a mess but it's doing its best!!!

Spain sounds like a good idea to me though!!!

22 Jun, 2012

Hi jewels its been rain then sun last few days but still a bit windy, been staking some plants up which had blown over, i will have more canes than plants soon lol :o)))
Thankyou wildrose for your comment and sorry you have had the same damage, im deciding where to go this week, though i ended up having to get a new washing machine which comes tomoz, 3rd one in about 5 years, why are things so cheaply made these days, anyway spent more than i wanted in hope i get a better one lol
