I planted one of these this year and was amazed how much the bees love it!

Oh dear, I think I just clicked on the "flag this photo" thingy by mistake - sorry. I believe I have done that before .....if I should not have done so, forgive me. What exactly does it mean? I thought it meant it was how to make a note to keep it special?

I have Creeping Charlie everywhere! it especially likes my flower beds and it grows large and lovely... lol. thankfully it's not hard to get a good handfull to pull...I rather like the smell of it when I cut the lawn (green stuff). I don't weed the green areas either...i just keep it cut to a low level so nothing can go to seed... crab grass is an annual...so the plants die off but leave amazing amounts of seed behind.. I just cut it...and add a little of the regular grass seed when it dies back in fall and again in spring..

Do you suffer with snails over there Rosalie? I have had the tiniest snails all over my rudbeckias and the petals can get caught on the slime.
On question - What does this?

hmm, maybe I can get good pictures without zoom and use my computer for what it's good for. hmm. either way, I can't catch details like those with my camera. amazing.

but gramma, spiders aren't insects. infact, they take care of the insects. They are better for your plants, and can help make them look 20 times better.

this is one of the larger garden cross spiders. This would be a female. you can tell by how wide the back end of it is. The male spider's body is about half the 1/10th the size of the female.

yeah, that's a male Gypsy moth. Great close up, then again, their pretty big. I would start protecting my clothes, they don't just fly by, they like to stick around for a bit.

That's a jumping spider. though, I don't think it's poisonous.

It's a female Garden Cross spider. I have a male and a female in my album. May I ask, what kind of camera do you use, my camera hates close ups.

Excellent photography ! Your foliage looks so healthy, the foliage always starts to look very ragged just as it starts to bloom on mine every year ! I'm sooo jealous...! lol

Still looking for a good place in my garden to make it as happy as it was in previous gardens. I love it so it always has to move with me!
