Hallo all, I just love freebies. I think that I have mentioned before that just up the road from where our datcha and garden is there is a “wild tip”, it amazes me what people throw out, upto now I have found a sack barrow, paving stones, new cutlery, lovely eating plates and loads of other useful things. When I went down to the garden this morning I saw that somebody had dumped some thing and went to have a look…..

the planter is so heavy I had a job to lift it, so I had to go and get the sack barrow to fetch it, the wicker washing basket…it also had a wicker lid as well will serve as a small table on the patio, the 2 white vases or whatever they are have also found a new home and also the wooden candle holder..I was glad that I was down in the garden early this morning, if I hadn´t taken them somebody else would have done, in fact when I was looking at the stuff a car pulled up and also had a look…but I was quicker !!.

I went to the local tip and found a wash jug and bowl, came home and put up for sale on ebay. It made £35 pound.

Hallo all, I went down to the garden again this afternoon and blow me backwards!!!!....somebody must be moving or giving up their garden, right there where I found those things this morning was another lovely square planter....not all that big though...also made out of terracotta or something like it...and also a matching ball type of thing.....so they went straight in the boot of the car !!....I told the OH...and she said..."you can use anything"...well not anything but if it´s like that I can.

@Teds...if I found a jug and washbasin...I presume it was enamel...I wouldn´t sell it in ebay!!!, but it´s just a personal matter of taste and what type of thing one likes.

Our local recycling depot run by the council. They don't allow people to take anything that has been left...but I bet the workers there get plenty of good recyclable goodies!

I did once find a very old teapot that I kept ahold of for a house plant for many years. Eventually it became too cracked to be used and had to be thrown.

I did get a load of recycled rocks for the garden yesterday...via freecycle. Now sorting out how to use them in the garden and so chuffed to have them.
