when should i plant seed spuds to harvest new potatoes for chritmas dinner. Thanks

I have a Beautifull red acer, in a pot burried in the border and its growing really well.. yours is gorgeous Rocky..

I wonder whether the red leaved Acer I had free from a mailorder co. will look as good as this if I keep it in a pot. It looks really strong and healthy.

I should have kept my acer in a pot. It's huge now and really too big.

Some say just as they flower, some say when theyve finished. Have a careful dig around the plant to see the size that they are. Normally when they are in flower, they do like a good drink to 'plump up' the tubers. If they are new spuds then you want them small.

Personally, I would try to remove the soil that might have the weedkiller on it and replace with fresh compost. Also, I would try spraying the plant with plain water to try and wash it off. Call me paranoid but I'd hate to lose an acer if I was lucky enough to have one!

Dont be too hasty throwing or digging up your tree. Plants are quite ressiliant and tough. I have an Acer that last year suffered from flooding and died.

Well it's trying its best to grow again. Obviously only part of it died back, so I am left with a small trunk and a new shoot.

Give things a chance before writing them off.

it depends on the active ingredient in the weedkiller, what does the bottle say? and did it get on the leaves or woody parts
