Yes, I agree Rain4nights, I'm not that struck on the bright pink mop heads or the brilliant blues, like you I think the beauty is in the delicate mixture of shades. I have a petiolaris growing up my wall and even though it'll be white, can't wait to see it next year.

I like your balkony . There must be a good view from there. Are you going to put pots or something there ?

I did not put in any toms this year. Last year they didn't do all that great and were pest magnets. I'd rather have unchewed basil and peppers so I skipped them this year

You bet ya!
I have spinach, 3 kinds of lettuce, cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower all waiting in the aisles to go in for fall, our last frost is Nov 15, and I hope to keep spinach and lettuce going in a cold frame thru the winter. Isn't it great? You Go Girl!!!

Ouch! If that's barberry by your front door I don't know how you managed to get past unscathed! It's the thorniest little demon...I wonder myself why they put it so near the door.
Good luck with your plans, youv'e thought them out nicely. Keep us posted as your work progresses!

It looks like elderberry to me , make a juice out of the berries in the autumn to treat colds with . ( Sambucus )
Boil it untill it is thick and syrupy ,pour into ice cubes freeze untill you need them .
You must have been working all hours on your project , ,well done

It's not worth feeling guilty about. It's just not your thing. Imagine all the enjoyment you'll get from what YOU planted there!

Sometimes it just seems to rain for ever and you have to grab at each dry moment you can, and everything is soggy then. Perhaps you'll get some better weather soon. I hope you do. If the juniper gives you a rash - get rid and don't feel guilty.

It's a lot of work trying to get both the house and garden done at the same time. I hope when you've eventually moved in you'll have more time for the garden. It will all look great I'm sure. : )

Ha ha - naughty kitty! Reminded me of years ago when I had a pet house-rabbit. I had been given a little tiny 'sensitive plant' seedling and was rearranging the window sill to accommodate it. I made the BIG mistake of putting it down on the floor. When I reached down to pick it up again, there was just a stump left ....... and there was a very naughty little rabbit sat chewing under the table
>:-( tut. Good luck in your new home :-)
