Hello everyone! My name is Rachel and I'm starting this blog to keep track of my new garden as well as see lots of other gardens.

I have just moved from a very sheltered and sunny garden in Dundee, Scotland where the soil is excellent for growing all sorts of plants. Now I'm living at the top of a hill in North Dorset and so far this year we have had a lot of wind!

I am very excited to start my new garden but also a bit intimidated as it is much bigger than my last one and I am very far from my parents. My mum is a very accomplished gardener and has always given me lots of help. Even though I am now at the other end of the country she still gives me a lot of advice over the phone (few!).
