years ago I used soft green soap as insectercide can I use Dove soap or washing up liquid instead If so what ratio to water,because I think the plants can get burnt if the ratio is wronge

thanks for that info, wouldnt we all like to see the back of greenfly, but at least the washing up liquid is easy & cheap, I cannot bear the thought of the systemic sprays on the food crops

I use washing up liquid in about the same ratio as I would use for washing up. It seems to do the trick - although I've not seen off greenfly /permanently/ as I would like!
