we have bamboo in our garden how do we kill it as it is grow like weeds we do not know what kind it is

Bamboo grows two directions - up, which makes a nice fence, and anywhere else it can travel, which makes it a pest.... Lots of varieties, but most expand their territory by forming shoots at the base. They need space to do so. To contain, you can dig a trench around the base and install 6" plastic edging.
