i know its nearly the end of season for my raspberries but i have just noticed that several shoots are'blind'should these have been taken out at the begining of the seasons or is it just something that happens?also my white berry canes have not fruited this year any ideas why?

Are these 'blind' shoots a nice bright green compared with the browner fruiting canes? If so, they are this years new shoots which will bear fruit next year. Don't cut them out.
