Thanks Noseypotter....we have cut all the bamboo to short stumps, soaked it in Round Up Stump killer. Plan to keep painting it with that for at least a month...see if that weakens the roots enough to try & pul/dig them up. We may give your black polythene suggestion a go as well. thanks for the advice.
