Strange - peppers are easy to grow.... Where are you growing them? Are you watering sufficiently? Are they in a big enough pot? My only idea is that they are getting too hot and the leaves are scorching and turning black. If they're in a greenhouse, try using greenhouse shading and soak the floor to raise the humidity.
