Should I plant my Madame Lemoine Lilac in a tub or in the garden,I feel that maybe it would be fare better in the garden,any advice on this subject would be much appreciated,thank you.

Thank you Bamboo,I have a feeling now that space is going to be an issue for this shrub...oh dear,unless I can persuade hubby to take out a conifer to accomodate the Lilac... here`s hoping!!

You can always remove the conifer in a year or 3 once the lilac's got going...

You're right, Numbty, it would be better in the ground. Make sure you've enough room for it though - it gets tree sized eventually.
