This tree (?) arrived in my garden about 4 yrs ago as a 3ft plant - I don't know from where and has grown to this size... can anyone tell me what it is... and should I remove it as it's so close to the house and so big now.

Thanks for all the good advice, but no one has offered a name for this plant. Nearest I can see is a Dragon tree or Dracana - anyone got any other ideas? The consensus seems to be to remove it .... So thanks again.
PS to the person who wants to leave.... I haven't been in touch for about a year, but it's so great to be back again!
