Clematis Mrs Cholmondeley changed colour

my 2nd year Mrs Cholmondeley which was definiteley blue last year seems to be a light purple colour this year is this possible or has something strange happened. It still has its label on it?

This is a strange clem' this one is. Colours can change slightly and sometimes it will even flower with double flowers too.
Having said that, quite a few do. I have two Voluceau and one is darker than the other.
