have a 15'x3' area between garage and sidewalk gets morning sun, and then in shade the rest of the day. Any ideas for perrenials?

In the beds I have facing east, there's Francoa, Lysimachia clethroides, L. ciliata 'Firecracker' and L.punctata (Careful with these three - they spread!) Heperis matronalis, Trifolium. Crocosmia, Leucanthemum, Japanese Anemones and a variety of Silene. I do grow Heleniums in there successfully, too. Hope this list helps.
