Evening all from soggy Cumbria! I have another ID question (no photo again but you're all pretty good at this game!) It is tall on a slender stem, thin pointed leaves, the flowers are a beautiful lilac colour with yellow / white stames, it has five points - the petals are not separated, it kind of looks like a clematis flower but isn't - it has poked up from amongst my shasta, i didn't know it was there! oh - the flowers are along the stem in the fashion of a delphinium, am i just lucky in having a pretty weed??

Thanks! :)

It looks like a campanula, but I don't know which one!

28 Jun, 2012

Could it be Campanula persicifolia?

28 Jun, 2012

OH, I thought I was going to be the first to suggest campanula! Persicifolia does have thinner leaves than most.

ooh thank you! Yes - it is the persicifolia!
