I have several clematis growing in pots the flowers are prolific but the lowewr part of the plants look as if they are deficient in something, or have some type of virus. They have regular feeds of chicken manure pellets and plenty of water.
I would like to keep them in their pots which are quite large but fear they maybe unsuitable for growing in pots , as ones planted it the ground are o.k
Any suggestions??

I don't think you should feed regularly with the chicken manure which though good is not a balanced fertiliser.. Once in spring should be enough, and then go on to tomato fertiliser.
