I have a clematis which I grow in a pot - can I put another clematis in the same pot?

My clematis seems to flower at the top of my arch but is bare at the side. I would like something which would fill the bare side. It must be able to either go in the same pot as the clematis or gow in a pot beisde the present one.

it would have to be a big pot. the other thing to do is to reduce one of the stems to just above the pot and see if you then get flowers lower down.

Thanks. I'll try training some of the stems down the way.
