I have a 22yr old autumn flowering cherry tree, which i think is dieing. It had blossom as usual this year, but now it has very few leaves and they are going brown, and all have holes in them. Does anyone know what this could be? Thanks

This might be tiny aphids-it sounds like what happened to my damson.I was going to use garlic spray this spring but the bugs got there even as the buds were opening and then it was too late. In the end I sprayed it with Ultimate Bug killer which is not recommended for the plum family but which did the trick.

I,m a bit puzzled by this, you say it is an autumn flowering cherry tree, but then you say it has flowered this year?, we haven,t had summer yet, let alone autumn, Derek.
