Mystery poppy-like plant

By Bernard

This plant has made itself at home in my garden. I lke it and so, it appears do bees!
Any ideas about an identity?

Meconopsis cambrica, the Welsh Poppy.
It is a lovely plant and we have plenty in the garden. But, it does seed around in profusion. Try to keep some control on them or you could have a garden full.

Thanks for your replies, folks. The base of that plant is surrounded with tiny seedlings as you can see in the photo. I must remember to dead-head this year!

I'll have a really beautiful mystery for you later in the year Spritz. I think it's a shrub rather than a tree, but it is about 9ft high and when it flowers (soon) it is covered with white flowers that hang down like tassels. Nobody I have spoken so far can identify it without seeing the flowers. Last year it took me by surprise as it only flowers for a few days and I didn't manage to get a photo in time. I'm watching it like a hawk this year!
