UNKNOWN PLANT
Asked by Harli on 24 Apr, 2008
A friend asked me to ask you if you could indentify this plant.
Whatever it is, it doesn't look very healthy to me.

I forgot to mention that it's healthy, but something has been eating on it like a slug maybe.

You will have a fit when I tell you that Trilliums like this were selling for nearly£15 for one little plant at the Nursery I visited today! (no, I didn't buy one)

Thanks for the information.
Spritzhenry ~ I've only seen the one trillium in my yard and sure am enjoying it. It's even more fun knowing they are rare

It's Toadshade Trillium (Trillium sessile), or maybe Sweet Betsy (Trillium cuneatum)........or maybe some other Trillium, but definately a Trillium, which is a native woodland wildflower here in the USA
