My Silver Swan Euphorbia has gone lanky but still has the dark purple stalks-how far down do I cut them back- to the root top or just under the blooms? any help you can give me is appreciated

I'm not sure whether you mean you've already cut back, but this variety is one where you cut, to the ground, the stems which have flowered only, and leave the rest.
