Paul, The guy in the garden centre advised me last year to feed it Tomorite which I did every week during summer so I am guessing that did the trick. I did read the other week on the net though that the best time to feed is in the winter and autumn I am not sure about that though. I just have to hope for a repeat performance next year.

Congratulations Marion! It's such a thrill to see these gorgeous flowers. I'm still waiting, I would think my wisteria is 5 now, but still small, and no flowers....

Three cheers Marion! Well worth waiting for.

Looks like the clematis is doing ok too! Which one is it?

Well done on getting the buds through that frost. :)

Now it's found out how to do it, I expect it'll become very enthusiastic and you'll have swathes of gorgeous, scented blossom every year, but make sure you prune it quite hard, or it'll get leggy and won't flower so well. Well worth the wait, wasn't it?

Smorgie, its clematis montanna, I will have to cut some of it back this year as I want to encourage the wisteria further along in its place, but yes its fantastic, from that corner I have trained the clematis up the wall of the house and its now completely covered, it does look really pretty and hides the ugly wall, I really don't like to see any fence or brick wall in my garden, I have the garage in my garden too, with a horrid flat roof that was so ugly so I fence panelled it all and grew a montanna up that and the montanna is now racing away and covering the roof too.

Sorry, I should have said i knew it was a montana, but wasn't sure which one. I have 3 but so far they haven't taken off (2 flowers this year)......but I guess you know that feeling!
