i planted 2no. sapling silver birches approx 2 years ago they seem to be struggling to get going. Any suggestions to kick start them please

Which food would you suggest please. I have some Vitax?

Did you dig the soil where you planted them? Could they have reached a barrier of subsoil or stone? If they were from pots did they have roots going round and round as this can be a problem. Or are they in deep shade? Try feeding them, as it will soon be time for them to put on new growth.
