I have a trachycarpus in a raised bed with a trunk about 5' tall. It has blown the wall out and I need to move it. I will probably have to cut the roots. What is the success rate of moving it and when should i do it please.

If it must be moved,being in a raised bed should give you the opportunity to dig around the roots without too much damage.As the retaining wall of the bed is already blown i would sacrifice more of the wall and save as much root as possible thus maximizing its chances when re planted.Personally i would do it now and give it a full growing season to recover.
