thanks for this MG. We dont have a ban yet but with all the rain yesterday the garden is very wet.
did you get snow? we had sleet and hail for the morning only.

We had so much heavy, wet snow that tree branches brought down a power cable on Monday night/early Tuesday morning and we had no power until lunchtime. After last week when it was in the 20s this is baltic! Ground very wet here but we never had the same problem they do in SE England.

We've had no good rain here, despite the fact its grey and cold. Thanks for the link MG - it has at least resolved the issue of what you can use grey water for, and whether it should be stored or not, which was something I was a little confused about.
As for the mulching, I did that on Tuesday, having used the sprinkler and hose the day before - ran out so some areas only have an inch and not two, but I tell you, I'm obviously not used to whatever movements it took to spread it, my shoulders and ribs feel like a cast iron straitjacket, stiff and sore.... Hose is coiled and stored in the garage for the rest of the year now.

Glad the link is of some help Bamboo... it doesn't matter whether you are gardening organically or not the lack of water has to be a huge challenge! I have to be careful with my back these days and am seeing the Bowen Therapist again on Monday.

Great link MG, thanks for that. I installed a bath in December in the upstairs bathroom, which has a window over the back garden... So i intend on siphoning bath/shower water into the garden outside, by way of a hose pipe in the bath and going downstairs and sucking on it. I haven't tried it yet mind you! Hope you are all well seaburngirl, Moongrower and Bamboo :)

Bowen, only had that once, very effective, specially for such subtle treatment.
Lucky you Funguy - the siphoning does work, but for heavens sake make sure any water currently inside the hose hasn't been there since last year, or been sitting in the hose in the sunshine before you suck on it. My bathroom's 3 floors up and the wrong side of the building, but nonetheless, I was considering running a hose through the flat and onto the balcony to siphon off. I don't think it'll work though, hose needs to be about 100 feet long to reach the ground as well.

Bowen is amazing Bamboo, so gentle and yet so effective! Good luck with the water from the bathtub Funguy...

Thanks Mg, its a very informative read, I as you know do use my waste water but only on my flowers, we were lucky enough to get a lot of very heavy rain just as the ban came into force, I went around like a madwoman using anything I could find once my butts were full, even used my council recycling bin, I can transfer it as the others get used, at the time my need was greater than theirs, lol...

You are welcome Lincslass, we've had heavy snow followed by a lot of rain so no risk of a water shortage in Moray.
