I have a ceanothus that is far to big for my garden, its grow into a tree, how far back can I cut it, and also do the roots go very deep, I may need to remove it altogether. thanks

If its one that flowers in May, you can cut it back after its flowered - if you're not bothered about the blooms, do it sooner. You may find it doesn't regenerate though, they're pretty short lived plants anyway, max about 20 years if you're lucky, sometimes as short as 9. Pretty big roots on the tree like ones.

How do I say thanks?
