How to get rid of doves?

The doves nisting under the roof like to burrow in the pots with young plants. Because there is so little space, they destroy everything. How do I get rid of them without harming them?

Given where Nelke lives I doubt that the RSPB is going to help! Nelke you need to make your roof dove unfriendly so block up the spaces they are getting in through.

Durr, Nelke's English is so good, it didn't occur to me she might not live "over here". Try the German-based Committee Against Bird Slaughter (CABS).

Presumably someone owns the doves? If not, maybe you could contact the RSPB and ask them if they can take the birds - or put an ad in the paper for a dove fancier to come and take them. If you search Google for "doves" and the telephone code/name of where you live, you might find a breeder or club who could be of use.
